“Limette 37 is an olfactive roller coaster, mingling an impression of cleanliness, freshness and well-being with that definite feeling that you are smelling special.”, says Le Labo’s website. I wish I can write b.s. like this.
Nothing “roller coaster” like they suggest, but to me it’s like riding a lawnmower on a golf course under a grey sky – a smooth ride with a great view, but feeling a little bit melancholic. Initially I thought Limette 37 was a cologne, but after wearing it a few times, it is a woody oriental perfume. The base notes have tonka beans and vetiver. How strange. It’s one of the perfumes that I’ve slowly grown fond of.
